Description
The ErgoSafe ErgoSlide is a nylon slide for moving a person in bed, or from bed to stretcher, without pulling their body, arms, or legs, and without lifting. Savaria Patient Care lists the family as ErgoSafe ErgoSlides. The current instructions print Handicare. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is not EasySlide and not WendyLett. Those are the SystemRoMedic in-bed sheets we already stock. This is not ErgoSheets, a pair of nylon sheets with handles on all four sides. This is not ErgoGlide, a one-way seated glide. This is not a hard sliding board and not an air mattress. ErgoSlide is the named ErgoSafe / Handicare article family: a nylon tube with side handles, a four-row-handle lateral tube, or a Plus loop.
Who it is for
ErgoSlide is for a person who needs to be moved up in bed, turned in bed, or slid across to a stretcher or exam table, and who should not be pulled by the arms or legs. Pick 2100 or 2101 for in-bed work. Pick LT 4400 when the move is from one flat surface to the next. Pick Plus when you want a multi-directional loop that is easy to slide in and out.
- Homes and care sites that reposition in bed without a mechanical lift
- Bed-to-stretcher and exam-table moves on LT 4400
- A person whose width fits the article on the quote, with the handles lying on the mattress on 2100 and 2101
- Sites that want a named ErgoSafe / Handicare nylon slide
The 2100 and 2101 instructions say to assess the skin if the slide is used for an extended period, and to ask an occupational or physical therapist when the person has, or is at risk of, a pressure ulcer. Do not leave 2100 or 2101 unattended under a person or on their bed.
What you get
You get one ErgoSlide in the model on your quote. Nothing else ships in the carton. 2100, 2101, and 4400 are heavy-duty nylon sewn into a long tube with webbing handles. Plus 2300 is an anti-static treated continuous loop. Plus II 2305 is coated nylon with webbing handles on both sides.
Place 2100 or 2101 by log-rolling the person from side to side so the tube lies along the bed. Each caregiver slides open hands, palms up, through the handles at the shoulders and hips. On the count of three, slide. Do not lift. The handles must lie flat on the mattress. If they hang off the edge, the slide will not work.
Place LT 4400 across the bed so the person's head, torso, and hips sit on the tube, with the extra length over the receiving surface. Set the brakes. Keep the surfaces even, or set the sending surface a little higher. Keep the gap small. A pillow can sit on the tube under the head. Two caregivers pull the centre handles while a helper holds the ankles, or three caregivers share the handle rows. Slide on the count of three. Do not lift.
Wash 2100, 2101, and 4400 at 80 C. Hang to dry, or tumble on low at 40 C. Plus 2300 can be washed at 80 C and is easy to disinfect. Inspect the fabric and handles before each use. Stop using a worn or torn slide.
ErgoSafe ErgoSlide specifications
These figures are for the ErgoSafe ErgoSlide family, not EasySlide, not WendyLett, not ErgoSheets, and not ErgoGlide. The specification tab holds the stored values. Choose Model sets which row applies.
2100 is 61 x 28.25 in (155 x 71.5 cm). 2101 is 61 x 46 in (155 x 117 cm). LT 4400 is 61 x 46 in (155 x 117 cm) with four rows of handles. Plus 2300 is 42.5 x 31.5 in (108 x 80 cm). Plus II 2305 is 62 x 33.25 in (157.48 x 84.46 cm). Plus 2300 XL is a larger Plus loop; confirm the finished size on the article you receive.
The current instructions do not print a safe working load. Stay inside your site's safe-handling protocol for the person and the surfaces you are using. The 2100 and 2101 instructions print an expected life of 4 years or more when the slide is used and laundered correctly.
Do not read EasySlide bed lengths, ErgoSheets 2200, or ErgoGlide chair sizes onto this page.

Delivery in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team can deliver this slide across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a sample first. For a scheduled drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works.
This is a small carton. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods can apply when it ships on its own. If it travels with an oversized lift or a bed, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Which beds and surfaces this fits
ErgoSlide is made for a bed, stretcher, or exam table. It is not a lift sling and does not attach to a carry bar. It is not a chair one-way glide. On 2100 and 2101 the handles must lie on the mattress, so match the width to the bed.
If the person can stand and step with help, look at the Handicare ReTurn or the QuickMove sit-to-stand aid. If a boom and a sling are the better plan, start with the Span America F400 or the HumanCare Positioning Sling when an in-bed lift sling is the right tool. We already stock EasySlide and WendyLett for in-bed sheet work. Those stay on their own listings. Ask us which aid to quote.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When a slide wears out, you call the shop that sold it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
ErgoSafe ErgoSlide warranty
The current 2100 and 2101 instructions print an expected life of 4 years or more with correct use and laundry. They do not print a separate warranty year count. Inspect the slide before every use and replace it when the fabric or handles show wear. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What is the ErgoSafe ErgoSlide?
It is a nylon slide that lets caregivers move a person in bed or across to a stretcher without pulling the arms or legs and without lifting. The family includes the 2100 / 2101 tube, the LT 4400 lateral tube, and the Plus loops.
What articles can I quote?
Six factory codes: 230010 (2100 Standard), 230030 (2101 Bariatric), 230020 (LT 4400), 230500 (Plus 2300), 230504 (Plus 2300 XL), and 230505 (Plus II 2305). We will match the selector to one of those articles.
Which model should I pick?
Pick 2100 or 2101 to move someone up in bed or turn them. Pick the wider 2101 when the person or the bed needs the 46 in tube. Pick LT 4400 for a bed-to-stretcher move. Pick Plus 2300, Plus 2300 XL, or Plus II when you want a multi-directional loop. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will choose with you.
What is the safe working load?
The current manufacturer instructions do not print one. Follow the method in the instructions that ship with the article, and stay inside your site's safe-handling protocol. We will not invent a kilogram or pound figure.
How many caregivers does it take?
Two on 2100 and 2101, working together at the shoulders and hips. Two or three on LT 4400. The LT instructions prefer three and allow two, with one person holding the ankles. We follow those notes.
How is this different from EasySlide or WendyLett?
EasySlide and WendyLett are the SystemRoMedic in-bed sheet families we already stock. ErgoSlide is the ErgoSafe / Handicare nylon tube and Plus loop family. Keep them on separate cards.
How is this different from ErgoSheets?
ErgoSheets are two nylon sheets with webbing handles on all four sides. ErgoSlide is a tube or a continuous loop. They are different ErgoSafe articles.
How is 2101 different from LT 4400 if both are 61 x 46 in?
2101 is the wider Standard tube for in-bed repositioning and turning, with handles on both sides. LT 4400 is built for a lateral move to a stretcher and has four rows of handles along its length.
Can I leave it under the person?
Do not leave 2100 or 2101 unattended under a person or on their bed. LT 4400 may stay under the person while they are supervised during transfers through the facility. Remove it once they are back in bed.
How do I wash it?
Follow the product label. The current 2100, 2101, and 4400 instructions allow a machine wash at 80 C, then hang dry or tumble on low at 40 C. Plus 2300 can be washed at 80 C. Inspect the slide after every wash.
Does it attach to a patient lift?
No. It has no sling loops and does not go on a carry bar. If you need a lift and a sling, start with the F400 or the HumanCare Positioning Sling.
How fast can a purchased ErgoSlide be delivered in the GTA?
Ask us for the next ship date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service for lifts and beds, not automatically to a purchased slide.
