Who this sling is for
This Medium toileting sling is for a person whose clinician or our staff has named Drive size Medium on a Drive floor lift. It supports the head, neck, back, and legs down to the knee and has a commode opening for toileting. It is not a sit-to-stand sling and it is not a Hoyer clip sling. It is not a bath lift and it is not a transfer bench.
- Bed to chair, chair to commode, or floor pickup when a full-body mesh sling is the plan
- Toileting that uses the commode cutout so the person stays in the sling
- Anyone whose Drive lift manual says to use a Drive DeVilbiss sling
Sizing
This card is Drive SKU 13221M, Medium. Catalog reprints print 53 in long by 42 in wide (135 cm by 107 cm). Drive does not print a pounds-only range for Medium on the shop sheet. Drive's sling selection guide is a weight and height chart. Medium sits in the mid band of that chart. Use the chart only as a guide. Confirm the size with a clinician or our staff before the first use.
If Medium is not the right band, ask us for 13221L or 13221XL after a size check. Drive item 13221XXL is not tagged With Commode. Do not treat XXL as a toileting size.
Attachment and compatible lifts
This is a loop sling. Drive Levantar and Gravis lifts catch those loops in a six-point cradle with spring clips. The sling itself is not a clip sling.
Drive's Levantar, Gravis, and 13244 manuals say Drive slings only. Do not hang 13221M on a Hoyer Advance. Joerns does not treat Drive slings as interchangeable.

Catalog reprints print 53 in x 42 in, about 2 lb (0.9 kg), blue, 4 sling points on a 4-point or 6-point Drive cradle. A separate chain or strap is not required.
Care and laundering
Inspect the mesh, seams, and loops before every lift. Do not use the sling if it is frayed, torn, or the label is gone. Drive's 2016 owners manual for this family prints machine wash warm or cold, maximum 105 F (40.5 C), air dry or tumble dry cool or very low, non-enzyme detergent, no bleach. Follow the care label sewn on the sling if it is stricter.
Bath lift chair or transfer bench
A bath lift chair for elderly use sits in a home tub and raises and lowers on a battery. A transfer bench bridges the tub wall. This Drive 13221M toileting sling does neither job. It hangs on a Drive floor lift so a person can be moved to a commode or a shower chair.
