The Drive Deluxe Tilt Top Overbed Table 13008 is a rolling H-base table whose walnut laminate top tilts 33 degrees in either direction and locks anywhere from 29.5 to 46 inches. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The chrome H-base slides under a hospital bed or a regular home bed so the person can eat flat or read at an angle.

Which beds this fits

This overbed table works with any bed, including the Drive Delta 1000, the Drive 15005LP low-height bed, and the Drive SoLite Pro homecare package. Drive does not limit 13008 to one frame. The H-base rolls under the side of the bed, and the 15 by 30 inch top sits over the mattress.

On a floor-low deck the 29.5-inch minimum can sit higher than the mattress. That is still a fit. The table is a surface, not a patient support.

Drive 13008 specifications

Drive's spec sheet for 13008 prints a 50 lb weight capacity, a 29.5 to 46 inch infinite height range, a 15.5 by 26.5 inch chrome H-base, a 21 lb product weight, and a 23 lb carton. The top is walnut wood-grain low-pressure laminate and tilts 33 degrees left or right. Height moves with light upward pressure and locks when you release the handle. Swivel casters roll the table. Drive's HCPCS on the card is E0274.

Same family warning as the non-tilt 13067: do not remove the bottom chrome screw marked Do Not Remove. That screw holds the spring. Taking it out voids the warranty.

Drive manufacturer warranty

Drive's spec sheet for 13008 prints a limited lifetime warranty. For the original purchaser, Drive warrants the product free of defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product. That warranty does not cover owner misuse, negligence, or normal wear, and it does not extend to non-durable parts such as casters and grips. Removing the bottom "Do Not Remove" screw voids the warranty. We handle the claim with you.

How far does the top tilt?

Drive lists 33 degrees in either direction. Tilt it for a book or a tablet, then bring it flat for a meal so a cup stays put.

What is the weight rating?

Drive lists 50 lb. That is the load on the tabletop, not the person's body weight. It is not a stand or a walker.

How is this different from the 13067 non-tilt table?

Same H-base idea and the same walnut laminate family. 13008 tilts 33 degrees and goes from 29.5 to 46 inches. 13067 stays flat and goes from 28 to 45 inches. 13067 is rated 40 lb. 13008 is rated 50 lb.

How do I change the height?

Lift with light upward pressure to raise it. Release the handle to lock any height between 29.5 and 46 inches. Lower by using the height-adjustment handle and guiding the column down.

Can I take out the screw at the bottom of the column?

No. Drive marks that chrome screw Do Not Remove. It holds the spring. Removing it voids the warranty.

How do I clean the laminate top?

Wipe the walnut laminate with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner. Dry it so moisture does not sit on the wood-grain surface.

What is the warranty?

Limited lifetime for the original purchaser on defects in materials and workmanship. Casters and grips are wear parts. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
