Description
The Drive drop-arm commode with padded seat is Drive Medical's 11125PSKD-1 chair for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. One arm drops for a side transfer. Drive's compare chart rates it at 300 lb (136 kg).
This is the padded-seat drop-arm commode chair. The hard-seat sister is the Drive 11125KD-1. Drive's official name is Drop Arm Steel Commode, not Deluxe. The current sheet prints a padded seat. It does not print padded armrests or a padded backrest.
Who this commode is for
This commode chair is for a person who wants a stationary bedside commode with Drive's padded, deeper seat, stays at or under the 300 lb rating, and needs one arm to drop for a lateral transfer. Families here usually call when the hard 11125KD-1 seat is not the comfort they want.
Drive writes that the drop arm is for ease of transfers and that 11125PSKD-1 "comes standard with padded seat and deepest seat." That is Drive's sentence. Westin does not give medical advice.
- Drop arm for a side transfer
- Padded seat 15.25 by 16.75 in (39 by 43 cm)
- 300 lb (136 kg) powder-coated steel frame
Drop arm, padded seat, and pail
The frame is steel with a powder-coated finish. Drive's current 11125PSKD-1 sheet prints a 15.25 by 16.75 in seat, 19 to 23 in (48 to 58 cm) height, 19 in (48 cm) between the arms, and a 21 lb (9.5 kg) unit weight. Drive's commode compare chart prints 23.75 in (60 cm) outside the arms and a 12 qt (11.4 L) bucket.
The current one-page sheet does not print a splash shield, a seat lid, or a carry handle. Do not assume padded arms or a padded back. If you need a printed splash shield for over-toilet use, start with the Drive 11148N-4 folding commode.
Drive prints tool-free assembly on the compare chart. Drive does not print wall-anchor or stud steps for this chair, because it stands on the floor.

Drop-arm, folding, or bariatric commode
A drop-arm commode chair drops one side so a person can slide across. 11125PSKD-1 is that chair with Drive's padded, deepest seat. A folding commode chair such as the Drive 11148N-4 flattens and ships with a splash shield. A bariatric commode chair such as the Drive 11135-1 is the 1000 lb extra-wide drop-arm.
Stay on 11125PSKD-1 if the padded seat is the fit. Step to 11125KD-1 for the hard seat and the 20 to 24 in height band.
