Description
The Drive Steel Drop-Arm Commode with Wheels 11101W-2 is Drive Medical's steel commode chair for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It rolls on rust-resistant swivel casters with two locks. Drive rates it at 300 lb (136 kg).
This is the white powder-coated drop-arm commode with padded armrests, a 14.25 inch by 16.75 inch (36 cm by 42.5 cm) seat, and a 17 to 21 inch (43 to 53 cm) height. The upholstered sibling is the Drive 11120SV-1F.
Who this commode is for
The Drive 11101W-2 is for a person who wants a steel wheeled commode, stays at or under Drive's 300 lb rating, and wants drop arms for a side transfer. Families here usually call when a caregiver needs the arm to drop and they want padded armrests on a white frame.
- 1 in steel, white powder coat, 22 lb (10.0 kg)
- Easy-to-release drop arms with padded armrests
- 300 lb (136 kg). Height 17 to 21 in (43 to 53 cm)
Casters, locks, and over-toilet use
Drive prints rust-resistant swivel casters, two with locks. Drive does not print a caster diameter on the 11101W-2 sheet. Lock the two locking casters before anyone sits.
Drive's 11101W-2 sheet does not print over-toilet use and does not print shower use. The splash shield on this SKU is the shield on the 7.5 quart pail, not a toilet-bowl clearance. Height is 17 to 21 inches (43 to 53 cm). For a commode the maker prints over most toilets, see the MedPro Defense 770-365 or the Medline G1-303DWX1.
- Rust-resistant swivel casters, two with locks
- Caster diameter not printed on Drive's sheet
- No official over-toilet or shower sentence
Drop arms, pail, and frame
Drive's easy-to-release arm mechanism is for a lateral transfer onto or off the commode. The arm also gives support while transferring. Arms are padded.
The frame is 1 inch steel with a white powder coat. Drive prints that it is made using recycled materials. A 7.5 quart (7.1 L) pail ships with a carry handle and a splash shield. This is not an upholstered seat. For padded vinyl on a wheeled drop-arm commode, use the 11120SV-1F.
