The Drive Nitro Heavy Duty Rollator is the wide-seat Nitro for indoor floors and outdoor pavement in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Drive's current 10266HD-BK sheet rates it at 450 lbs (204 kg) and 20.5 lbs (9.3 kg), with a 23 inch (58 cm) by 10 inch (25 cm) seat at 23.5 inches (60 cm) and handles from 36 to 41 inches (91 to 104 cm).

This is the heavy Nitro. A 10 inch front caster, a suspension system, and a wide seat are how it leaves the Sprint. It is not a 3-wheel Nitro and it is not Drive's 500 lb Sprint HD, which we do not sell here.

Fit and height

A bariatric rollator fits a person who needs a 450 lb rating and a 23 inch seat. Drive prints handles from 36 to 41 inches (91 to 104 cm) and a seat 23.5 inches (60 cm) from the floor. The back support height adjusts with a tool-free thumb screw.

Stand upright with your arms relaxed. Set the grips at your wrist crease so your elbows stay slightly bent when you hold on. Drive's push-button on each handle clicks into the next height. Match both sides. Sit only after you press both brake levers down to park, on even ground, as Drive's Nitro manuals require.

Wheels, brakes, and folding

Drive prints large 10 inch (25 cm) front casters and a caster-fork that tightens the turn. Brake cables run inside the aluminum frame. Squeeze the handbrakes to slow down. Press both levers down to lock before you sit.

Fold it side to side with one hand. An under-seat lock holds the frame closed. The zippered bag stays on whether the Nitro HD is open or folded. Drive lists an optional slow-down brake (10266-BRAKE ENH) on the HD card; ask us if you want that added.

Weight and portability

Drive prints 20.5 lbs (9.3 kg) on the 10266HD-BK sheet. That is heavier than the Sprint and still a lift into a car trunk after the one-hand fold. Drive does not print overall length, overall width, or folded inches on the current sheet. The under-seat lock is the car-trunk reality: the frame stays shut while you lift it.

This is a rollator with a seat for indoor floors and outdoor pavement, not a travel-only 3-wheel. If 350 lbs and an 18 inch seat are enough, start with the Drive Nitro Sprint Rollator.

The Drive Nitro Heavy Duty Rollator is the 450 lb step on this Nitro line. Stay here if you need the 23 inch seat and the 36 to 41 inch handles. The Nitro Sprint is the 350 lb 4-wheel with Hemi, Standard, and Tall seats and the built-in slow-down brake. The Nitro 3-Wheel is the no-seat 13.5 lb Nitro for tight indoor turns. The Deluxe 3-Wheel is a different Drive 3-wheel, not a Nitro.
