Description
The Pride Genesis LC-150 is Pride Mobility's current 3-position Sitting Pretty lift chair with a split back and a sinuous spring seat. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Pride prints two sizes: Small LC-150S and Medium LC-150M.
Pride's Genesis specification table rates both sizes at 325 lbs (147 kg). The back and chaise travel together through lift, sit, and full recline. A toggle remote docks magnetically on either side. An integrated battery backup keeps the lift usable if household power fails.
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for a person who stays at or under the 325 lb rating, fits Pride's Small or Medium Genesis build, and wants a straightforward 3-position lift and recline. Families usually call us when standing from a low sofa is the hard part, and they want a living-room chair without heat, massage, or independent back and footrest motors.
If you need a wider size ladder, see the Pride Evolution LC-435. If you want power headrest and lumbar on a 3-position chair, see the Pride Muskoka LC-475.
- Traditional 3-position lift, sit, and full recline
- Small and Medium only, 325 lb rating
- Sophie Latte, Sapphire, Shale, Cabernet, or Lexis Vinyl Chestnut
3-position recline and lift
A 3-position Pride lift chair moves the back and footrest together. You can stop anywhere in that travel. You cannot raise the feet while the back stays upright. That independent travel is infinite-position, and it is a VivaLift or the Pride Essential LC-107, not the Genesis.
Pride prints a split back and a fully padded chaise. The seat is a sinuous spring pack, not Total Comfort foam. The toggle remote docks on either side. Pride lists lithium backup as an option on the Genesis sheet, not as a standard pack. The integrated backup is there so the lift can still run if the room loses power. The chair is not a substitute for a caregiver when the person cannot use a hand control.
Fit and size
Pride sells Small and Medium. There is no Large on the current Genesis table. Figures come from Pride's live US specification table and the 010826 brochure.
Small LC-150S, 5'3" and below: seat-to-floor 18 inches (46 cm), seat 20 by 18 inches (51 by 46 cm), back 24 inches (61 cm), 17 inches (43 cm) from the wall, 32 inches (81 cm) overall, chair height 55 inches (140 cm), 111 lbs (50 kg).
Medium LC-150M, 5'4" to 5'9": seat-to-floor 20 inches (51 cm), seat 22 by 20 inches (56 by 51 cm), back 26 inches (66 cm), 18.5 inches (47 cm) from the wall, 33 inches (84 cm) overall, chair height 59 inches (150 cm), 116 lbs (53 kg).

Genesis, Evolution, or a classic Essential
The Genesis is Pride's current 3-position value chair in Small and Medium. The Evolution LC-435 is the 3-position family with Petite Wide through Extra Extra Large. The Muskoka LC-475 adds power headrest and lumbar. The Essential LC-106 is the older 325 lb 3-position chair Pride Canada's shop no longer cards. A VivaLift such as the Metro 2 is infinite-position, not 3-position.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, place it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
A lift chair is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's Genesis sheet prints a 2-year limited warranty for the original purchaser. Fabric sits outside that term. Exceeding the 325 lb rating voids the Pride warranty. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
