The Joerns UltraCare XT Hospital Bed offers Trendelenburg positioning in a fully electric bed with head, foot, and height adjustments controlled by an advanced pendant or embedded staff control. The ergonomically designed controls have raised buttons and backlighting for easy use by residents and caregivers. Toroidal architecture engineering of the bed’s steel frame is up to 30 times stronger than angle iron. Gravity-assist repositioning provides greater patient comfort as well as clinical applications.

Four DC motors supply amazingly quiet and smooth operation with a quick high-low positioning of the bed frame. A 7-inch to 30-inch travel range offers safety, whether resting at an ultra-low height or providing easy-access care at a higher position. An UltraLock mobile system at the head and foot sections maximize security or mobility at any height while transporting the bed. The Joerns UltraCare XT advance technology bed offers greater patient comfort and more circulatory and respiratory applications than found in other hospital beds.

AdvanceCare – provides both gravity-assist repositioning and comfort chair positioning. AdvanceCare offers more therapeutic options for patients who need special care or who want enhanced comfort. QuickCare technology is a standard feature on this Trendelenburg bed that provides fast height adjustments. The unit has a remarkable 7-to-30-inch height range. With this wide travel range from floor to bed deck, the Joerns Ultracare XT bed addresses the needs and requirements of practically everybody. Pendant Control – The included pendant control allows both the patient and the caregiver to easily adjust the position of the bed for enhanced comfort.

Toroidal Architecture – Instead of using standard angle iron for this Joerns UltraCare XT Hospital Bed frame, the manufacturer uses Toroidal engineering in a tubular steel frame design that is up to 30 times stronger than angle iron. Greater strength and better design offer exceptional durability and increased safety for patients. The frame provides unmatched strength and stability throughout the entire travel range. With this new technology, the bed easily supports up to 500 pounds. The innovation behind the toroidal architecture is that it utilizes a continuous tube, rather than conventional angle iron.

Hospital-Grade Grounding – The frame and the motor is a Class 1 ground system for additional patient protection.

Mobility – This bed provides for enhanced mobility and swivel caster functionality at both ends of the bed to easily maneuver within tight spaces. Roll the bed safely at any height.

Headboard & Footboard Panels – Standard on this package is the beautiful Traditional-style headboard and footboards with a rich Cordovan finish. The Traditional head and footboard sets are functional, smart-looking, and of great value. Made of a wood laminate veneer, it is both attractive and durable. The headboard rail is 36 inches wide, 18.25 inches in height, and ¾ inches deep. This beautiful style and finish fit with most decor.

Advanced Features

Advanced Staff Controls and Pendant – The embedded staff control and pendant functions allow both the patient and the caregiver easy access to adjust bed height and the head and footer mattress positions as well as advance care repositioning. Located on both sides of the mattress support frame are integrated remote pendant connections. This feature allows remote positioning where the patient can most comfortably reach. Embedded staff controls offer safety lockouts and ergonomic functionality to make it easier to use for caregivers. The ergonomic controls have raised buttons with easy-to-see backlighting. The embedded staff controls located in the footboard angle upwards for increased visibility and easy access.

Dual UltraLock – This special safety feature provides a system of rollers and swivel casters for smooth and safe movement from room to room at any height. Dual UltraLock offers swivel and locking controls at both the head and foot of the bed for increased mobility and safety. Access to the locking functions is at three separate locations on the bed. An indicator displays a green symbol when the UltraLock system is in mobile mode.
